Message from the Executive Director of Interim Place, Cindy Cowan Dear Friends and Supporters, On behalf of the women and children of Interim Place, I would like to thank Sue Johanson, Janet Kestin and Susan Aglukark, for their significant and insightful contribution to the 2008 Her Life Her Words Speaker Series. We all learned many lessons from hearing them and were each inspired and moved by our speakers. I would also like to thank all our Sponsors, the general public, the staff at the Mississauga Convention Centre and all our volunteers and staff at Interim Place, for their generous support and commitment. We have had a fabulous speaker series and we could not have done it without all of you. This is a unique speaker series and the only one in Peel Region that profiles women. The funds we raised will help subsidize our shelters and programs at Interim Place. Our goal is to end violence against women through responsive, accessible, services and supports, public education, and action and advocacy to address the social, economic and political conditions that create violence in the lives of women and children.
